Do You Peel Kiwi For Smoothies?

Best Easy Kiwi Smoothie Recipes

You don’t need to peel kiwis for your smoothies.

Peeling your kiwis will remove some important nutrients.

The kiwi skin is rich in fiber and so much more.

However, I tend to peel the kiwi’s skin if the kiwis are not organic.

If they are organic, I keep the skin. But ultimately, it’s up to you.

If you are worried that the blender won’t be able to break the skin, trust me, it will.

I have used pretty much every blender on the market, and they have all done the job.

The only thing you need to do is trim the edges of the kiwi, should you want to keep the skin on.

How Do You Cut a Kiwi For a Smoothie?

The method is very simple. If you are not peeling the kiwi, then you will need to trim the hard bit that’s typically located where the stem used to be.

Cut that with a knife and discard it.

Then do the following:

  • Cut the kiwi in half (lengthways).
  • Then cut each half in half again.
  • Finally cut the halves across (horizontally).
  • You should end up with a total of 8 pieces from 1 kiwi.
  • Now you can use them in your smoothies!
