Creamy Banana Blackberry Smoothie

Creamy and super quick banana blackberry smoothie!

It’s colorful, it’s thick, it’s delicious, what else could you want?

One of my favorite things about this smoothie is its dark purple color.

I used frozen bananas, which gave the smoothie extra thickness and coolness to it.

Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes

Blackberries blend with many different ingredients.

This means you can customize this smoothie as you please. For example, swap ingredients or add extra ingredients.

Here is a list of some variations I have personally tested and loved:

  1. More Creaminess & Protein: If you are not avoiding dairy, you can add 1/2 cup of cottage cheese or a scoop of protein powder, for extra creaminess and protein.
  2. Nut-Free: Swap the almond milk, or keep it, and add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. Swap  the almond milk for oat or soy milk.
  3. Citrus Twist: Instead of almond milk, use fruit juice, such as orange or apple juice.
  4. Leafy Green Power: Incorporate a handful or two of leafy greens, such as kale. This additional add-in won’t impact the flavor.
  5. Matcha Boost: If making this smoothie for breakfast, I recommend that you add 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder!
