On top of that, this smoothie tastes delicious, and it’s packed with nutrients.

There are so many reasons why I love this smoothie and why I think you will too.

Some reasons include:

  1. Deliciously Creamy Texture: The combination of yogurt and banana gives this smoothie a wonderfully creamy and smooth texture, making it a pleasure to drink.
  2. Naturally Sweet: With the natural sweetness from ripe bananas and a touch of honey, this smoothie satisfies sweet cravings healthily.
  3. Nutrient-Dense: Loaded with vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C from the banana, calcium from the yogurt, and iron from the oats, this smoothie is both nourishing and energizing.
  4. Perfect for Breakfast: The oats and bananas makes this smoothie a filling option that’s perfect for breakfast, providing the necessary energy and nutrients to start the day right.
  5. Easy and Quick to Prepare: This smoothie is incredibly easy to make, requiring just a few ingredients and a couple of minutes to blend together, which is perfect for busy mornings.
  6. Versatile: The basic recipe can be easily adapted to include a variety of other ingredients such as different fruits, nut butter, seeds, or even protein powders, making it customizable.
  7. Good for Digestive Health: The fiber from oats, bananas, and apples aids digestion and promotes gut health.
  8. Energy Boosting: Provides a good balance of carbohydrates and protein, along with healthy fats from the peanut butter, which are ideal for a sustained energy release throughout the morning or before a workout.

Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes:

You can change the recipe with my suggestions below should you want to:

  • Extra Protein: Currently a serving of this smoothie contains 13.3g of protein, but you can increase it by adding a scoop of protein powder.
  • Chocolate: Add a tablespoon of cacao or cocoa powder for a nice chocolate flavor!
  • Make It Vegan-Friendly: Swap the dairy yogurt for a vegan alternative, such as coconut yogurt. And finally, swap the honey for maple or agave syrup.
  • Use Another Fruit: You can swap the apple for berries or other fruit of choice.

Feel free to experiment with your own variations too, and make sure you let me know in the comments what they were!

Recipe Equipment

As of right now, I have made this smoothie recipe using only 2 blenders; My Vitamix Explorian Blender, and Nutribullet 900 series.

The smoothie is quite thick and contains frozen fruit, so I recommend that you use a high-speed blender if possible.

How Long The Smoothie Lasts

To store a smoothie correctly, refrigerate it as soon as possible using a mason jar or an air-tight container.

This smoothie tastes pretty good after 24 hours, but make sure you stir it before drinking.
