Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes:
You can change the recipe with my suggestions below should you want to:
- Extra Protein: Currently a serving of this smoothie contains 13.3g of protein, but you can increase it by adding a scoop of protein powder.
- Chocolate: Add a tablespoon of cacao or cocoa powder for a nice chocolate flavor!
- Make It Vegan-Friendly: Swap the dairy yogurt for a vegan alternative, such as coconut yogurt. And finally, swap the honey for maple or agave syrup.
- Use Another Fruit: You can swap the apple for berries or other fruit of choice.
Feel free to experiment with your own variations too, and make sure you let me know in the comments what they were!
Recipe Equipment
As of right now, I have made this smoothie recipe using only 2 blenders; My Vitamix Explorian Blender, and Nutribullet 900 series.
The smoothie is quite thick and contains frozen fruit, so I recommend that you use a high-speed blender if possible.
How Long The Smoothie Lasts
To store a smoothie correctly, refrigerate it as soon as possible using a mason jar or an air-tight container.
This smoothie tastes pretty good after 24 hours, but make sure you stir it before drinking.
