Smoothie Recipe Tips & Customization Ideas

Since the smoothie recipe is quite basic, only containing 4 ingredients, there are plenty of options for you to elevate it a bit more.

Here are some ideas:

  • For a thicker smoothie, add 1/2 cup of frozen banana slices, it will also help add more sweetness and nutrients to the smoothie.
  • The smoothie is fat-free, which means it’s not as filling. If you want to make it a bit more filling and rich, add a tablespoon of chia seeds or nut butter.
  • Instead of blueberries you can use other berries too; raspberries or strawberries both work just fine.
  • As an addition to the berries, you can add 1/2 cup of pineapple pieces too, which can add a nice tropical flavor to the smoothie.
