Today, we made a slight twist to our usual blueberry smoothie recipe, we added spinach! Spinach is an ingredient we often use in our smoothies, but today we wanted to try it in our blueberry smoothie. And the result was great.
First of all, you really cannot taste the spinach in the smoothie, but all the benefits of the spinach are in, which we call a win-win!
This blueberry smoothie has no banana, and yet, it’s still very thick and refreshing. The secret to making thick smoothies without bananas is to simply use frozen fruit!
Is Raw Spinach In a Smoothie Good For You?
We used raw spinach in our smoothies, but some people may raise their eyebrows at that.
The truth is, adding raw spinach to your smoothies is an excellent way of boosting nutrition to your smoothies.
The only thing you need to make sure you do before you add spinach to your smoothies is to make sure you wash the spinach very well!
How To Make Blueberry And Spinach smoothie For Weight Loss
You will need:
- Frozen Blueberries
- Yogurt
- Peanut Butter
- Handful Of Spinach
- Almond Milk
To keep this recipe suitable for vegans, replace the yogurt with vegan-friendly yogurt.
To make this smoothie – just add all the ingredients to a blender, and blitz until completely smooth, 2-3 minutes.

- 1 Blender We used this one
Ingredients
- 1 cup/150g of frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup of yogurt
- 1 tbsp of peanut butter
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 cup/250ml of almond milk
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blitz until smooth.
