Recipe Variations and Smoothie Notes

Changing this recipe is incredibly easy should you need to.

You can experiment with your own variations, but I will leave some options for you that I have personally tried and loved:

  1. Protein Boost: Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for extra protein in this smoothie.
  2. Reduce The Calories: For a lower-calorie smoothie, use almond or oat milk instead of coconut milk.
  3. Natural Sweetening: Swap the maple syrup for 2-3 soft pitted dates.
  4. No Banana: Swap the bananas for mango or pineapple.
  5. Extra Nutrients: You can add spinach and chia seeds for extra nutrients.
  6. Cashew Butter Substitute: If you don’t have cashew butter, soak a handful of cashew nuts in water for 5 minutes the strain. Use them instead of the butter.

Equipment:

Blender Type Suitability
Nutribullet 600
Vitamix Blender Propel 510
BlendJet 4000mAh x
Ninja Blender BL610
Oster 6640 Blender
Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender
AMZChef Blender 1800 W
Wamife Blender

Out of the 8 blenders and models that I have made this recipe with, I do not recommend only 1 blender, and that is the BlendJet 4000mAh.

It simply didn’t blend the smoothie as well as the others, so I recommend that you avoid it if possible.

Cashew Smoothie FAQs:

What Type of Cashew Butter Should I Use for This Smoothie?

You can use either raw or roasted cashew butter depending on your preference. Raw cashew butter tends to have a milder taste, while roasted will give a more pronounced, nutty flavor to the smoothie.

Can I Make This Smoothie Without Coffee?

Absolutely! If you prefer not to use coffee, you can omit it without replacement or substitute it with a small amount of cocoa powder for a chocolatey flavor or a teaspoon of vanilla extract for a milder, sweet flavor.

How Can I Store Leftover Smoothie?

Leftover smoothie can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. You may notice some separation, so give it a good stir or a quick blend before consuming.
