Why You Will Love This Chunky Monkey Smoothie
This smoothie tastes like dessert. My friends loved my cheesecake smoothie, so it’s definitely possible to make a smoothie taste like a dessert but made healthily.
I love this smoothie because it’s sweet, chocolatey, and just hits the spot. A serving only has 3434 calories, which is nothing.
On top of that, this smoothie is also very nutritious. It contains protein, complex carbs, and vitamins.
If you enjoy this smoothie, I recommend that you also try my apple pie smoothie bowl and Snickers smoothie!
Oh, and definitely also try my banana bread smoothie!
Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes:
You can swap ingredients and even add extra ingredients if you want to. The recipe can be customized easily.
Experiment on your own or try some of my tested suggestions below:
- No Banana: Swap the bananas for frozen mango or pineapple.
- Nut-Free: Swap the peanut butter for sunflower seed butter or use a tablespoon of seeds such as chia or flaxseeds.
- Add Some Spice: You can enhance the smoothie’s flavor by adding spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger, or a touch of vanilla extract.
- Enhance The Chocolate Flavor: You can add melted chocolate or a tablespoon of cocoa powder for an extra chocolate flavor.
- Make It Sweeter: You can make the smoothie sweeter by adding a teaspoon of honey, agave, or maple syrup.
My Top Tips For Making This A Chunky Monkey Smoothie
- Use Frozen Fruit: I highly recommend using frozen fruit for the smoothie. It creates an icy thick texture which makes the smoothie taste so delicious!
- Use a High-Speed Blender: I have attempted to make this smoothie with a Blendjet, and other lower-speed blenders, and they simply don’t blend the smoothie very well.
- Blend For a Minimum Of 3-4 Minutes: Make sure you blend the smoothie thoroughly for an ultra-creamy smoothie.
- Drink The Smoothie Fast: The smoothie is ice cold thanks to the frozen fruit in it, but the sooner it’s blended, the sooner it starts to warm up. So drink it as soon as it’s ready!
