We have always liked drinking protein shakes as a meal replacement. Why? – Because it’s accessible, easy, and mess-free. We are always on the go – so having a meal quick on the go is always a bonus.

Whether you like smoothies or shakes, they are both great ways to have a meal on the go.

If you are looking for a coffee protein shake recipe no banana – in that case we would recommend that you sub the banana for other fruit such as; berries, apple, melon, pineapple, etc.

You can make coffee protein shake with frozen banana, but make sure you have frozen bananas already in the freezer. If you are a regular smoothie maker, you should have frozen bananas – ALWAYS in the freezer.

We used instant coffee, however, we also tried this recipe using an espresso shot, and it worked even better. Use whatever you have in hand – both ways work well.

How To Make Coffee Chocolate Banana Protein Shake

You will need:

1. Banana – frozen or not.
2. Instant Coffee – or a shot of  cold espresso
3. Chocolate Protein Powder
4. Milk – Dairy-free or not, up to you.

 

If you have decided to use the espresso shot route, make sure the espresso shot is cold.
This is the method –  Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blitz until smooth.

  • 1 tbsp of instant coffee or a shot of cold espresso

  • For A Vegan Option:
