Optional Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes

My copycat recipe contains 4 simple ingredients, making this smoothie super easy and quick to make.

However, if you want to elevate this smoothie a bit more, here are some suggestions:

  1. Protein Boost: If you are not vegan, you can either add 1/2 cup of yogurt or use a scoop of protein powder.
  2. Leafy Green Packed: Incorporate a handful of leafy greens such as kale or spinach, for a boost of extra nutrients.
  3. Seeds & Nuts Power: Incorporate a tablespoon of either chia seeds, flaxseeds, nut butter, or both seeds and nut butter!
  4. Swap The Juice: Don’t have apple juice? Replace it with orange juice instead.

Equipment

Blender Type Suitability
Nutribullet 600
Vitamix Blender Propel 510
BlendJet 4000mAh x
Ninja Blender BL610
Oster 6640 Blender

Out of the 8 blenders tested in this recipe, only Blendjet wasn’t compatible.

If you do own a Blendjet and want to make this recipe, you could, but you would need to use a lot more liquid to make it work.

This means the smoothie won’t come out as thick as mine did.
