We all know that sometimes smoothies can contain a bit too much sugar and carbs. Well, normally it’s from healthy sources, like from fruit, but if you are watching your carbs, or just don’t want to pile up on sugar (fruit or not) this is a perfect no-added-sugar smoothie you should try.
Especially in the morning (first thing), we like to kick-start our digestive system and break the fast with a nutrient-dense, detoxing smoothie.
Beetroots are wonderful and so good for you. They have sweet notes, that make the smoothie a little bit sweet, rather than it being completely unsweet.

How To Make This Easy Delicious Smoothie:
Only a handful of healthy ingredients are needed!
Once you have peeled and diced your raw beetroot – add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender.

Easy Detoxing Beetroot Smoothie
- 1 cup/150g of raw beetroot peeled and diced
- 1 cup/220ml of unsweetened coconut water or just plain water
- a handful of fresh spinach
- a handful of diced cucumber
- 2-3 leaves of fresh mint
- Prepare the raw beetroots as described above, and add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender.
- Blend everything until completely smooth.
