Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes

You can easily change the recipe if you want.

Plenty of ways to customize it to suit your ingredients or taste preferences.

Feel free to experiment on your own, or you could try some of my recommendations below:

  1. Swap Fruits: For a banana-free smoothie version, swap the frozen banana for frozen berries for example, or tropical fruits like mango.
  2. Different Color Grapes: You can use any type or color of grapes you like or have. Just make sure the grapes you use are seedless!
  3. Not Avocado: Replace the avocado with an extra banana, or use another type of fruit.
  4. Add a Citrus Element: Try using orange or grapefruit juice instead of almond milk for a sweeter smoothie with a citrus note!
  5. Add More Protein: Add a scoop of vanilla protein for extra protein.
  6. Boost With Superfoods: You can add chia seeds, flaxseeds, or anything else you like or fancy.

How to Make The Perfect Grape Smoothie Bowl

  1. Use Frozen Grapes: This recipe cannot be made successfully without the use of frozen grapes and bananas. Smoothie bowls are thick and cooling for a reason – that reason is the use of frozen fruit!
  2. Use a High-Speed Blender: You will need a high-speed blender. Or, you could make this smoothie bowl using a food processor.
  3. Chill The Serving Bowl: Chill the bowl you are planning to serve the smoothie in for 5-10 minutes while I am preparing the smoothie. It helps keep the smoothie cooler for longer once it’s served.
  4. Enhance With Toppings: Add toppings that complement the smoothie bowl. I love adding seeds, nuts, etc.
  5. Eat ASAP: As soon as the smoothie bowl is served, eat it immediately, as it will start to thaw. It’s like ice cream!

The key to making the perfect smoothie bowl is to use a high-powered blender.

However, cheaper blenders like Nutribullet 600 and 900 series can work with this recipe too.
