I have been testing a coffee protein shake type of thing with Premier Protein powder, and I  cracked it. After several attempts, I have the perfect recipe to share with you!

The recipe is super simple and only needs a handful of ingredients.

It’s summer y’all, we all want to indulge in iced things, especially iced coffee.  This is why I am presenting you today, with my delicious premier protein cafe latte iced coffee recipe!

This premier protein coffee will both wake you up, give you energy and provide you with protein. The great thing about this protein-iced coffee is the fact that it will keep you full.

It won’t just spike your blood sugar, and then drop. 

You will have steady energy coming through without the feel of sharp hunger pangs coming through quickly or energy crashes.

I would like to quickly point out that this coffee premier protein shake is super high in protein too – (30g per serving), and it’s low in calories, making it the perfect drink if you are looking at cutting down your daily calorie intake.

Also, if you don’t use sugar or cream, this coffee shake is absolutely keto and almost completely carb-free.

Is Premier Protein good for you? While there are reasons to believe that premier protein may not be very good for you, it is a great source of protein.

Protein powders and protein shakes such as Premier Protein are a convenient way to easily increase the protein intake in your diet.

I personally try not to consume Premier Protein often, but I have not eliminated it from my diet completely. Anything in moderation is fine.

You can even add additional ingredients along with ice to the blender with Premier Protein shake, this will allow you to further enhance the benefits and taste.

For example, adding fresh leafy greens, oats, chia seeds, and other ingredients can be a great idea if you want to make a more nutritionally fulfilling shake.

You will need these ingredients:

  • Coffee – any type would work (filter, instant, espresso)
  • Ice
  •  Premier Protein Powder
  • Touch Of Sugar (optional)
  • Touch of heavy cream (optional)

Now, to make this premier protein iced coffee – the first thing you need to do is make your coffee and let it cool completely.

I used instant coffee, but you can make coffee using any method you like.
Once you have made your coffee let it cool. 

After the coffee has cooled, add it to a blender with 1 scoop of premier protein powder, and 3-4 ice cubes. Blend for 1-2 minutes.

Pour the shake over a cup filled with ice. Drop some cream in it if you like.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 tsp of instant coffee (or 1 shot of espresso, or 200ml brewed coffee)
  • 200 ml of hot water
  • 1 scoop of premier protein powder (we used the vanilla one)
  • 1 tsp of sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp of cream (optional)
  • 45 ice cubes (Plus extra to serve)

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee first. I used instant coffee, but you can make coffee if you have a coffee machine.
  2. To make your coffee, mix the instant coffee with the sugar if using sugar, then pour the hot water and mix.
  3. Once you have made your coffee let it cool.
  4. After the coffee has cooled, add it to a blender with 1 scoop of premier protein powder, and 3-4 ice cubes. Blend for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour the shake over a cup filled with ice. Pour some heavy cream in it if you like.
  6. Enjoy!
