When looking at the vast number of pre-made smoothie options out there, many of us would argue that the smoothie-specialized food chains are some of the best.
When I say this I am referring to Tropical Smoothie, Jamba Juice, and Planet Smoothie of course! We each have our favorite out of these three, but today we will focus on Planet Smoothie.
So, it is time for us to ask if Planet Smoothie is actually healthy. Can you get a health boost from a smoothie at Planet Smoothie, or is it just as bad as picking up a smoothie from McDonald’s? Stick around and find out!
Is Planet Smoothie Healthy?
Planet Smoothie is considered to be healthy. The brand itself appeals to active, health-focused, and loyal customers.
They offer customers smoothies made with real fruit that are relatively low in sugar, low in calories, and high in protein. There are even options for meal replacement smoothies.
What is even better is that their smoothies are made with vegetables, fruits, and protein.
Not only this, they have even better gluten-free, plant-based, and vegan smoothie options as well!
Planet Smoothie also has meals and snacks too, all of which are fresh and healthy.
Some of their meals include acai bowls, which are an awesome meal replacement option.
They also have the option to add a protein boost to your smoothies which can give you an extra energy dose if you like to have a smoothie around your workout!

Is Planet Smoothie Healthy For Weight Loss?
Planet Smoothie has a few options for weight loss smoothies, however, they have one known as the Fat Burner which is considered a great weight loss smoothie!
The Fat Burner has ingredients such as cayenne, amino acids, and guarana.
These help in balancing your blood sugar, increasing your metabolism, boosting heart health, and aiding in the fighting of fatigue according to healthline.com.
That being said, Planet Smoothie features other smoothies which are good for weight loss.
These smoothies are high in protein and low in calories. This makes them an ideal beverage for your workouts as an exercise to lose weight.
When you are hitting the gym, or getting in your cardio as you try to lose weight.
Protein is essential according to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. Protein helps you feel full preventing post-workout snacking. It also helps to keep your energy levels boosted as well, revitalizing you after a hard workout.

Is Planet Smoothie Real Fruit?
Planet Smoothie does use real fruit. Unlike some smoothies made by fast food chains, Planet Smoothie stays away from using pulp and juices to make their smoothies and instead uses fresh fruit and vegetables.
It also includes its own branded supplements in its smoothies to aid in providing more vitamins, minerals, and protein, and to allow consumers who achieve their goals.
This means that Planet Smoothie does allow a level of customization to their smoothies. They allow you to add supplements and ingredients to make the smoothie fit you and your needs.
Does Planet Smoothie Add Sugar To Their Smoothie?
Planet Smoothie does not add sugar to its smoothies. Natural fruit is used to sweeten the smoothies.
They do not add in any added sugars like so many other brands do.
Yet, if you really want to decrease your sugar intake, you can also look at their sugar-free smoothies.
With Planet Smoothie you can customize your smoothie of choice with extra ingredients, or even request that no sugar is added to a smoothie where it may be.
There is also the addition of smoothies that are low-carb as well.
While they do not use added sugars, they do have their own sweetener according to the PlanetSmoothieFranchise.pdf report.
They use LeanLeaf, which is made from stevia. This is a brand-specific sweetener that allows Planet Smoothie to create great-tasting smoothies with fewer calories and less sugar but still a sweet taste.
However, if you would rather avoid the sweetener, you can ask not to be added to your drink.

What Is Healthy At Planet Smoothie?
If you are looking for the healthiest smoothie at Planet Smoothie the Fiji Island Breeze is a great smoothie to start with.
This smoothie is made with coconut water, mango, passionfruit, bananas, leafy greens, pineapple, and mango.
You get all the goodness of the leafy greens as well as the potassium from the bananas.
You also get the nutrients from the fruit, and coconut water, as a healthy base.
I would consider Fiji Island Breeze to be the best, but their entire ‘Superfood’ line is very healthy, all made with whole food ingredients and many using acai.
That being said, their Energy and Protein lines are also very healthy too.
It all depends on what you are looking for from your smoothie.
For those who want a smoothie to give them a boost after a trip to the gym, an Energy or Protein line smoothie is ideal. The Lean Green Extreme or Chocolate Chimp are both fantastic Protein line options from Planet Smoothie.
Alternatively, if you want something more energy based then the ‘Java The Nut’ or ‘Mango Passion Energy’ line smoothies are a great choice. Don’t forget, all of these are customizable too!
