When To Drink This Smoothie

I lost weight by drinking this smoothie for breakfast allon with light protein, such as boiled eggs or scrambled tofu.

I consumed the smoothie for 7 days, once a day.

I recommend that you do the same.

I also ensured that I was physically active and made better food choices for the rest of the day.

Optional Smoothie Recipe Swaps And Substitutions

Below I am going to leave some options for you to make some changes to this low calorie kale smoothie, just in case you want something different.

  • Instead of kale, feel free to use spinach or other greens of choice.
  • Instead of lemon juice you can use lime juice.
  • If you don’t have or like dates or dried fruit in general, use 1/2 cup of berries instead.
  • I used plain water because it contains no calories, but if you want something more flavourful use coconut water instead.
  • This smoothie doesn’t come out very thick, so if you like thick smoothies, either add 1/2 cup of ice cubes or for extra sweetness and taste add 1/2 cup of frozen banana slices.

My Top Tips:

  1. Do not over-blend. Blending for too long will cause the smoothie to become foamy.
  2. Serve over ice. Even if you chill the inrgedients before blending, the smoothie won’t come out cold and refreshing. Serve the smoothie over ice for that reason.
  3. Measure The Ingredients Carefully; This is a weight loss smoothie, you want to measure the ingredients exactly as listed.
