Why Is This Low Calorie Strawberry Banana Smoothie Good For Weight Loss?
If you are wondering what can I put in my smoothie to lose weight – always choose low calorie, but filling ingredients.
We selected 4 low calorie, but filling ingredients to make our low calorie berry smoothie.
Yogurt, high-fiber fruits, and leafy greens are all wonderful low-calorie options to add to your weight-loss smoothies.
Here’s a more thorough breakdown of the ingredients we used in this fat burning strawberry smoothie.
- Frozen Strawberries: there is a reason we used frozen strawberries, yes they make the smoothie much more refreshing, but cold boosts metabolism, as your body is trying to warm it up. Furthermore, strawberries are low in calories and high in fiber. High fiber food can promote satiety, which can help you reduce the overall calories you consume for the day.
- Low Fat Yogurt: yogurt is high in protein, and low in calories, especially low to zero fat yogurt. It’s important that you use unsweetened yogurt though. Protein is key to success in your weight loss journey because just like fiber, protein can satiate you.
- Banana: bananas contain fiber and many vitamins and minerals that can aid weight loss. Bananas can also energize you, and curb sugar cravings.
- Unsweetened Almond Milk: almond milk is a great low-calorie smoothie liquid, that also contains a good dose of protein and minerals.
