Have you noticed this recent craze of everything being high in protein these days? Snickers now has a protein bar, and many other sweet brands now have a protein version.
Having a convenient high-protein snack that tastes good in the bag, could not make your life any better.
There has been a recent boom in protein cookies. People are making their own high-protein treats, but there are also protein cookies available for purchase.
Today we will be reviewing the Naked Nutrition protein cookies VS homemade!
Naked Nutrition Protein Cookies
We tried the chocolate chip protein cookies from Naked Nutrition, since, well, don’t we all love chocolate chip cookies?
Anyway, we were pleasantly surprised.
They were sweet enough, and had plenty of chocolate chips in them, which made the protein cookie tastes nearly just as good as any other chocolate chip cookie!
The cookies are quite crumbly, so we found that we have to refrigerate them in order for them to retain their shape, but apart from that, no other issues.
Naked Nutrition Protein Cookies Pros:

- Grass Fed Protein Powder Is used.
- Gluten-Free.

Naked Nutrition Protein Cookies Cons:

When you compare it to the pros, there are much more pros than cons!
Homemade Protein Cookies
Homemade protein cookies can contain a lot more protein, but it’s difficult to keep them low-calorie.
Saying that making a big batch of homemade protein cookies can really save you money in the long term.
We have 2 of our own protein cookie recipes, and they are both relatively quick and easy to make.
Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of homemade protein cookies!
Homemade Protein Cookies Pros:
- Cheaper (a homemade protein cookie works out to cost under $1!).
- Can Be Healthier (depending on the ingredients used).
- Can Be Made Vegan-Friendly.
- No Oils Or Palm Oil.
- Can Be Customized.
- Tasty.
Homemade Protein Cookies Cons:

- Typically Lower Amount Of Protein Per Serving.
- Not Convenient, Unless You Bake a Big Batch To Last For Longer.
Conclusion
The Nake Nutrition protein cookies are convenient, tasty and contain a good dose of protein per cookie.
However, they are a bit more expensive.
Homemade cookies work out to be much cheaper, but they take time to make, and you will need a good recipe!
There is no right or wrong answer on which one is better. This would totally be up to you, and how busy your life is.
If you value convenience, then Naked Cookie is better for you.
If you have time, but not the financials, then it’s best to make your own protein cookies.
Either way, they are both delicious, and give you exactly what you want from them, and that is protein!
