Nutribullet Pro Vs Nutri Ninja: Which One Is Better?

When you are looking for a new blender, there are often two choices you are faced with. Both Nutribullet and Ninja are good brands, and both have plenty of size options, but is there a better one?

We decided we needed to try out both, and find an ultimate blending champion. While Nutribullet is known best for having a bullet-style blender with single-speed and one service that you switch on super easily. Ninja is best known for its smart range and pre-set options with various action buttons.

So, which is best? If you want a portable blender, you’re in the right place, this is what Nutribullet is known for, but Ninja also has plenty of options.

So, let’s take a look… shall we. It’s time to find out if the Nutribullet Pro 900 can beat the Ninja Nutri 1000 Wall Auto-IQ blender in a head-to-head battle of the blends!

Nutribullet Pro Vs Nutri Ninja

Getting To The Point

Since we have tested both of these types of blenders, we have done all the research we needed and we can tell you, for us, the Nutribullet came out on top.

The Pro 900 is a five-star blender, sure it is limited to only having a small single-serve capacity, but it is the perfect choice for little smoothies.

The Best Blender Deals Right Now

Want a good deal on a good blender? We have got you covered!

NutriBullet Pro 900

If you are fancying the Nutribullet Pro 900, check it out on Amazon.com here

If you want something a bit bigger than this, however, a Ninja blender is probably better. The Ninja Professional Plus Kitchen System with Auto-IQ is pretty good. However, the NutriBullet Blender Combo is also a solid buy. The only downside is it only has 3 blending speeds.

Ninja Blenders

If you fancy a Ninja blender, try out this Ninja BN701 on Amazon.com. We cannot guarantee it is the best of the bunch, but it is a solid purchase and will do just what you need it to!

Differences In Design

One of the biggest differences between these blenders is in their design. Nutribullet is well known for being super simplistic and effective. Less is more.

They have a compact, lightweight base. Screw the blade bottom into the smoothie cup, stress down to the base, and twist to start the blend. To stop, just put it into neutral. It doesn’t get easier than that really.

Ninja has Auto-IQ however. This allows you to twist your cup into place and press from a select variation of modes.

If you buy the Ninja Nutri 1000 you get the blend, pulse, or ultra blend options, which are all pre-timed as well.

What do we know about their overall design? Well…

NutriBullet

  • 900 watt battery.
  • 32oz cup capacity.
  • 1 mode.
  • 17 colors.
  • $99.99 RRP.

Ninja

  • 1000 watt battery.
  • 24oz cup capacity.
  • 3 modes.
  • 1 color.
  • $89.99.

NutriBullet has stated that the Pro 900 can’t be used for over a minute per blend as its engine could overheat, which is a downside. We gave it a go, but there were no issues, so we would say this is more guidelines than anything.

Making Smoothies

Ingredients at the ready, we put the two blenders into competition with the same ingredients. The same amount of each, which did mean the Ninja blender filled up more since it is smaller.

Adding the lids, twisting the bases on, pressing the NutriBullet, and twisting and pressing the blend button on the Ninja. Ninja is preset to 50 seconds, NutriBullet also has a blend cycle of 50 seconds.

Neither blender struggled with any ingredients, even something tough like the kale, and both looked the same.

The texture was where things were different. Ninja did not completely break down the kale and leafy greens, but the NutriBullet has sliced through everything much more, making it taste smoother.

NutriBullet just made a smoother smoothie.

What You Need To Think About Before Buying

The NutriBullet blender produces a much better smoothie, however, this blender is literally designed to only make smoothies. If this is all you want it for, we recommend buying the NutriBullet.

However, if you want a blender that is a bit more multifaceted the Ninja BL480D Nutri 1000 Watt Auto-IQ Blender is  a better choice. Since it has a pulse and max blend mode.

The NutriBullet is also much more attractive, it has more color options and its bullet design goes down to the base. So, if you need something that matches your kitchen aesthetic it works well.

We aren’t biased or anything, but when it comes to making smoothies, the NutriBullet is just better.

Pros NutriBullet

  • 32oz cup container.
  • Many colors.
  • Smooth blend.
  • Simple and effective design.
  • Best choice for smoothies.

Cons NutriBullet

  • More expensive option.
  • 1 mode.
  • Single serve.
  • Not hands-free.

Pros Ninja

  • 24oz cup container.
  • 3 modes.
  • Cheaper option.
  • 1000 watt battery.
  • Hands-free.
  • Best choice for multi-use.
  • Multi-serve.

Cons Ninja

  • Only 1 color option.
  • May leave bits in leafy blends.
  • Smaller cup container.

Which To Buy?

Nutribullet Pro Vs Nutri Ninja

So, which is better for you? Well, if you seek out a powerful blender that makes tasty smooth smoothies, the NutriBullet is the better option, with 2 32oz lids and clips, with a screw-on handle for ease it is a great choice.

It is not as powerful as the Ninja Blender, but it does produce smoother blends.

But, if you fancy Auto-IQ settings, a lower cost, and a blender that is more multifaceted then the Ninja blender is better. It also allows you to blend hands-free, while the NutriBullet does not.

You do get more control with the NutriBullet, however, this is more because it requires you to be more in control with no Auto modes. But, if you are dead-set on a smooth blend, it is ideal.

It all depends on what you seek out more in a blender. We much prefer the NutriBullet, but the Ninja blender might be a better option for you and your blending needs. So, it’s definitely worth looking at Nutribullet alternatives.
