Olive Oil Smoothie Recipe Variations
I was inspired to make this olive smoothie after I developed and shared my recipe for a coconut oil smoothie.
The smoothie community loved it, so I developed an olive oil smoothie recipe.
When I develop smoothie recipes, I test numerous different ingredients, so if you want a slightly different smoothie, try some of my tested variations below:
- To add another healthy source of fats to your smoothie, swap the apple for 1/2 avocado instead.
- Instead of fresh spinach, use frozen spinach. Frozen spinach will help thicken the smoothie even more.
- For a natural boost of gut-friendly bacteria, add 1/3 cup of yogurt to the smoothie.
- To boost the protein content of this smoothie without using highly processed protein powders, add a scoop of collagen powder.
- For a nut-free smoothie, swap the almond milk for another dairy-free alternative, such as oat or coconut milk.
