Smoothie Variations & Recipe Notes:

I have some variations of this smoothie to offer you, should you want to change things up a bit.

  • No Banana: Instead of banana in the recipe, you can use mango. Around 1/2 is enough.
  • The Seeds: If you don’t have chia seeds, use flaxseeds or oats.
  • Tropical Boost: For an even stronger tropical flavor, use coconut water or coconut milk instead of almond milk.
  • Coolness: For extra coolness and freshness, use frozen papaya or banana instead of fresh.
  • Greens: Throw a handful of spinach or kale for extra nutrients without adding too many extra calories.
  • Protein Boost: Add a scoop of protein powder – preferably unsweetened and unflavored for 20-25g of extra protein!
  • Yogurt: Not dairy-free? Add 1/3 cup of unsweetened yogurt for creaminess and probiotics

Ninja Blender BL610

Wamife Blender

Whilst the smoothie is relatively easy to blend, I found that the Blendjet blender didn’t blend the smoothie as smoothly as the other blenders did.

Which is why I do not recommend it for this specific recipe.
