Why You Will Love This Apple And Peach Smoothie

Peach And Apple Smoothie served in a tall thin glass cup

This apple and oatmeal smoothie with peaches is not only visually appealing and tasty, but it also offers so many benefits too.

It’s vitamin-packed, contains fiber, and so much more.

Here’s why I think you will love this peach apple smoothie as much as me:

  • Naturally Sweet and Refreshing: The combination of ripe peaches and apples provides a naturally sweet and refreshing taste, perfect for a summer treat or a refreshing snack any time of the year.
  • Hydration Boost: Using coconut water as the liquid base adds a hydrating element to the smoothie, making it ideal for replenishing fluids after a workout or on a hot day.
  • Nutritious and Filling: The addition of rolled oats makes this smoothie more filling and adds a good source of fiber, which can aid digestion and provide sustained energy, keeping you satisfied longer.
  • Antioxidant-Rich: Peaches and apples are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins that can help protect the body from oxidative stress and boost immune health.
  • Heart-Healthy: The soluble fiber from oats and the potassium found in coconut water contribute to heart health by helping to lower cholesterol levels and regulate blood pressure.
  • Spiced to Perfection: A hint of cinnamon not only adds warmth and depth to the flavor profile but also offers anti-inflammatory properties and can help regulate blood sugar levels.
  • Versatile and Customizable: This smoothie recipe is easily adaptable; it can be enjoyed as is for a light and energizing drink or bulked up with protein powder, nuts, or seeds for a more substantial meal replacement.

If you enjoy this smoothie, I am pretty sure you will also enjoy my peach smoothie without yogurt, and my blueberry and apple smoothie recipe!

Optional Substitutions, Add-ins, And Notes

You can very easily customize this peach smoothie. From swapping ingredients to adding in extra ingredients.

I would know because I did customize it several times.

Here’s what I did, and my suggestions:

  1. No Fuzz: If you get the ick from the fuzz of the peaches, you can swap the peaches for nectarines.
  2. The Base: Swap the coconut water for creamy almond milk or oat milk.
  3. Protein Boost: Incorporate a scoop of your favorite protein powder for an extra 22-25g of protein.
  4. Leafy Greens: Add a handful of kale or baby spinach for a nutrient boost without impacting the taste of the smoothie.
  5. Make It More Filling: Add a tablespoon of nut butter or seeds, such as flaxseeds or chia seeds for a more filling smoothie.

Equipment:

Blender Type Suitability
Nutribullet 600
Vitamix Blender Propel 510
BlendJet 4000mAh x
Ninja Blender BL610
Oster 6640 Blender
Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender

Wamife Blender

I found that when I used frozen peaches to make this smoothie with a BlendJet 4000mAh, it struggled.

When I used fresh peaches, it worked just fine.

If you own a BlendJet 4000mAh, I recommend that you swap the frozen peaches and use fresh instead.

Recipe FAQs:

Do I Need to Peel The Peaches' Skin For This Smoothie?

If you're using fresh peaches, the skin can actually add extra fiber and nutrients to the smoothie. However, if the texture or taste of the skin bothers you, feel free to peel them. For frozen peaches, they are typically pre-peeled.

Can I Use Any Type Of Apple For This Smoothie?

Yes. Any variety of apple can be used based on your preference. Sweeter apples like Fuji or Honeycrisp can add more natural sweetness, while tart varieties like Granny Smith can provide a sharper contrast to the peach's sweetness.

What Type Of Oats Should I Use?

Rolled oats are best for smoothies due to their softer texture, which blends well. Instant oats can also be used as a quicker alternative, but steel-cut oats are not recommended due to their hard, chewy texture.
