Even if you are not a fan of peaches, this peach melba smoothie will still win your heart.
The peaches are poached, and skin peeled, so if you don’t like peaches because of their ‘fur’ then worry not, only the juicy part of the peach is used in this peach melba sunrise smoothie.
What’s really cool about this refreshing peach smoothie, is that it contains cooling vanilla ice cream – just that extra touch of freshness.
We love to make this smoothie when we are thirsty and want a tasty fix. Believe us, it doesn’t take long to make it, especially if you plan ahead.
How To Make Peach Melba Smoothie
You will need:
1. Peaches
2. Vanilla ice Cream
3. Sugar
4. Raspberry Sauce
5. Star Anise
6. Water
Combine the water, sugar, and star anise in a pot. Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, and add the halved peaches. Simmer for 2-4 minutes, depending on how ripe the peaches are.
Take the peaches out of the simmering water, and add them to a bowl of cold water.
In terms of the sweet boiling liquid, let it cool completely.
Once the peaches have cooled, peel the skin and slice them.
Add the ice cream, peaches, raspberry sauce, and 1 cup/250ml of the cooled sweet liquid to a blender.
Blend until smooth.
Serve and enjoy.

- 1/2 cup/100g of sugar
- 2 cup/500ml of water
- 1 star anise
- 2 scoops of ice cream
- 2 tbsp of raspberry or strawberry sauce we used shop-bought
Instructions
