Recipe Variations And Substitutions

Since I only used 4 ingredients to make this avocado and peanut butter drink, it may be a bit too basic for some.

For that reason, if you want to elevate this smoothie a bit more, you can add more ingredients to it, and even swap some.

Here are some options:

  • If you don’t like peanut butter, use other nut butter, such as almond or cashew butter.
  • For a sweeter smoothie, adding 1/2 cup of mango can work very well with the avocado and peanut butter.
  • If you don’t have pumpkin seeds, you can use chia seeds or even oats instead.
  • Coconut milk or water can work as a great replacement for the almond milk.
  • For a totally different flavor, you can add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the recipe, it will create a nice thick chocolatey smoothie.

Do note, that if you do add more ingredients, you may need to adjust the liquid ratio a bit, either add more or less, depending on the ingredients you use.
