A raspberry chocolate smoothie recipe that is made high protein, and it will surely satiate you and satisfy you!
Berries for some reason work really well with chocolate. And no, you shouldn’t just use strawberries and chocolate combo, raspberries work really well with chocolate as well!
We decided to make this smoothie with high protein by adding a scoop of protein powder. However, this is optional, if you just want a raspberry and chocolate smoothie, then just don’t add protein powder.
We did use banana to make this smoothie though, so if you want a chocolate raspberry smoothie no banana, then just add more raspberries and skip adding the banana.
Are Raspberries Good For Protein Shakes?
Absolutely they are! Just like strawberries and any other fruit really. Raspberries fresh or frozen are a wonderful addition to your protein shake.
Chocolate raspberry chia smoothie has added protein powder to it, so you get the best of both worlds; chocolate and protein. This smoothie tastes really, really good too!
Can You Put Raw Chia Seeds In a Smoothie?
Chia seeds in fact are most commonly used in smoothies. And chia pudding of course, but chia seeds can of course be added to a smoothie. They will provide you with tons of benefits.
So, next time you make a smoothie, drop in some of those superfood seeds in there!
How To Make Chocolate Raspberry Protein Smoothie
You will need:
- Raspberries
- Cocoa/Cacao Powder
- Banana
- Chia Seeds
- Milk (use dairy-free if you are using vegan protein powder)
- Protein Powder
Add all the ingredients to a blender, and blitz!
Serve and enjoy!

Equipment
- 1 Blender We used this one
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup/75g of raspberries
- 1 small banana
- 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
- 1 small scoop/45g of protein powder
- 1 cup/250ml of milk use dairy-free if you are using vegan protein powder
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blitz until smooth.
- Serve and enjoy!
