This zucchini banana smoothie is obviously made much healthier, as it has no added oil/fat added to it, no gluten or other stuff that zucchini bread often has.
This smoothie bowl is totally dairy-free and suitable for vegans as well.
Can You Taste Zucchini In Smoothies?
Not really! Zucchinis have a very gentle flavor, that isn’t overpowering. When you combine zucchini with things like chocolate, the dominant flavor will be chocolate.
This smoothie bowl with zucchini is made with raw zucchini, banana, and chocolate. Simple, and tasty, a smoothie bowl, made with a twist!
Can You Eat Zucchini Raw?
We added raw zucchini to this smoothie, which brings up the question – Can you eat zucchini raw? The answer is yes, you can totally eat raw zucchini, however, make sure you wash them well!
Make sure you use baby/small zucchini, the bigger the zucchini the bitter it is.
How To Make Chocolate Zucchini Smoothie
You will need:
- Fresh Zucchini
- Cocoa Powder
- Maple Syrup
- Dairy-free milk
- Frozen Bananas
To make this smoothie bowl – add all the ingredients to a blender or better a food processor and blitz until smooth.
Pour the smoothie over these coconut bowls and add your desired toppings!

Smoothie Bowl With Zucchini
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups/9oz/250g Frozen banana slices
- 1 small zucchini washed and diced
- 1 tbsp of Maple Syrup
- 1 tbsp cacao powder or cocoa powder
- 75ml of Dairy-free Milk
Instructions
- All the ingredients are added to a food processor or a high-speed blender, and blitz until smooth.
- Pour into your smoothie bowls, and add your desired toppings.
- Serve and enjoy!

Notes
We highly recommend that you use a high-speed blender like Vitamix, but it's easier to do this using a food processor.
