Other Benefits Of Drinking Hair Growth Smoothie

Hair growth isn’t the only benefit you can expect to get from drinking this glowing hair smoothie.

Recipe Variations & Tips

Smoothie For Hair Growth being poured into a thin glass cup from a blender jug

After developing a collagen smoothie for skin, I wanted to develop a smoothie for hair.

After numerous experiments, I settled for this recipe.

However, during the development process, I tested numerous variations, some of which I liked.

If you want to adjust the recipe slightly, here are some ideas:

  1. Boost The Protein: One of the easiest ways to boost the protein content in this smoothie is by adding a scoop of protein powder. Alternatively, if you are not vegan, add 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt.
  2. Allergic to Nuts? Double down on the seeds! The recipe calls for chia seeds already, so you can use another type of seed instead of walnuts, such as flaxseeds or sunflower seeds.
  3. Add…An Egg White! Adding eggs to smoothies sounds gross, but eggs are proven to help with hair growth. To double down on the hair growth effect, add 1 pasteurized egg white to the smoothie.

Smoothie Making Tips:

  • Add the frozen fruit and spinach first to your blender: These ingredients are harder to break down, which is why you want them closer to your blades.
  • To make the smoothie thicker: Add more ice cubes or more frozen fruit. On the flip side, if you like your smoothie thinner, use less liquid.
  • Avoid over-blending: Overblending can cause to smoothie to become too airy, causing the smoothie to become foamy. 2-3 minutes of blending is enough.
