Tasty Smoothie Variations

I tested numerous variations and different ingredients when I developed this heart hemp smoothie recipe.

But, I eventually settled for the 4-ingredient version, which is vegan-friendly, and also has chocolatey notes.

I am going to leave some of the other successful versions that I tested if you want to try them out!

  • If you are not vegan, add 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt to the smoothie as the 5th ingredient. It adds gut-friendly bacteria, creaminess, and extra protein to your smoothie.
  • If you don’t like chocolate, swap the cacao powder for peanut butter powder, or a small scoop of protein powder.
  • Swap the frozen berries for other fruit. I have tested frozen mango and pineapple and the result was delicious!
  • Swap the almond milk for coconut milk instead for a creamy tropical twist.
  • To add an aromatic twist to the smoothie, either use vanilla-flavored almond milk or add 1/2 tsp of vanilla.
