This apple and strawberry smoothie with banana is made using fresh, natural ingredients.

Each ingredient contributes to vitamins, minerals, and more, making this smoothie super nutritious!

Here’s an overview of the benefits of this banana strawberry apple smoothie:

  • Rich in Dietary Fiber: With ingredients like apples, bananas, and chia seeds, this smoothie is a great source of dietary fiber, which is beneficial for digestive health and can help maintain a feeling of fullness.
  • Antioxidant-Rich: Strawberries and apples are packed with antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
  • Heart Health Support: The almond butter and chia seeds contain healthy fats, such as monounsaturated and omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to support heart health.
  • Energy Boosting: The natural sugars in fruits like bananas and apples provide a quick source of energy, making this smoothie a great option for a morning boost or a pre-workout snack.
  • Muscle Health: Almond milk offers a plant-based source of protein, and when combined with the protein in almond butter, it can support muscle repair and growth.

Optional Recipe Variations & Smoothie Notes:

There are multiple different variations of this recipe you could try, should you want to!

From making it higher in protein, to changing the flavor completely.

Here are some ideas:

  1. Apple Juice: If you don’t have fresh apples at home, but have apple juice, you can use apple juice instead of fresh apple and almond milk.
  2. Protein Boost: Add a scoop of unflavored and unsweetened protein powder for an extra 20g of protein. (I use brown rice powder which is vegan).
  3. Chocolate Flavored: Add a tablespoon of cocoa powder for a chocolatey twist.
  4. Vanilia: Add aromatic notes by incorporating 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Change The Berry: You can swap the strawberries for blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries.

Strawberry Apple Banana Smoothie

Equipment:

Blender Type Suitability
Nutribullet 600
Vitamix Blender Propel 510
BlendJet 4000mAh x
Ninja Blender BL610
Oster 6640 Blender
Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender
AMZChef Blender 1800 W
Wamife Blender

The smoothie recipe didn’t work with BlendJet 4000mAh. It couldn’t break down the tough apple and frozen fruit as well as the other blenders.

If you do own a BlendJet 4000mAh though, instead of frozen fruit, you will need to use fresh fruit.

Dietary:

Type Of Diet Suitable
Vegan-Friendly
Dairy-Free
Gluten-Free
Diabetic-Friendly
Paleo-Friendly
Keto-Friendly
Raw Food-Friendly

The smoothie is suitable for plenty of diets.

If you are raw vegan though, you will need to use raw almond milk. Most store-bought almond milk are unfortunately processed.

Which is why I like to make my own almond milk at home.

Storage:

In The Fridge:

  • Pour the smoothie into an airtight container or a mason jar with a lid.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Shake or stir well before consuming, as separation may occur.

In The Freezer:

  • Pour the smoothie into an airtight container, leaving some space for expansion, or use a freezer-safe bag.
  • Freeze for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or at room temperature for a few hours before enjoying. Shake or blend again if needed.
