Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes

Strawberry Kale Smoothie being poured into a glass cup from a blender jug

  1. Banana Version: For a banana kale and strawberry version, add 1 small banana. It will make the smoothie thicker and sweeter!
  2. Use Frozen Kale: Frozen kale is superb in smoothies. It thickens them, and also helps create a deeper darker green color!
  3. Boost Protein: You can either add a scoop of vegan protein powder, or add 1/2 cup of yogurt if you are not dairy-free.
  4. Add Superfoods: 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder, chia seeds, and nut butters are a wonderful addition to this smoothie.
  5. Add Avocado: Thicken the smoothie and add healthy fats by adding 1/2 avocado to the recipe.
