Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes:
Should you want to or need to, you can easily adjust the recipe. For example, you can make the smoothie high protein, or swap some ingredients.
Feel free to experiment, or try some of my suggestions:
- Boost With Greens: A cup of spinach or kale adds lots of nutrients without impacting the taste of the smoothie. Although, it does alter the color of the smoothie!
- A Boost Of Protein: If you are not vegan, use 1/2 cup of yogurt and 1/2 cup of coconut water instead of one cup. Alternatively, boost protein content with a scoop of protein powder.
- No Banana Smoothie: Add a tropical touch without bananas, with mango or pineapple. You can even add another type of berry, for a triple berry smoothie!
- Swap The Base: No coconut water? No problem! Use dairy-free milk of choice. Preferably unsweetened!
- Nutty Taste: Either keep or swap the chia seeds and add a tablespoon of nut butter. I have tested almond and peanut butter – both work deliciously in this smoothie!

Higher-speed blenders process the ingredients much better, but you can also make this smoothie using a lower-speed blender.
I do, however, recommend that you use a high-speed blender if possible.
