Blender Suitability
The main reason why not all blenders work with this recipe is because of the use of frozen fruit and ice.
Not all blenders can crush these 2 ingredients without plenty of liquid. As you can see based on the images, this alcohol smoothie is quite thick.
Nevertheless, most blenders do work with this smoothie:

Optional Add-Ins / Variations Of This Drink
There are some variations of this alcoholic drink you can make in case you have slightly different taste preferences.
Some tested variations you could try include:
- If you don’t like bananas, you can use mango instead, for a tropically flavored cocktail.
- Instead of coconut water, you can use coconut milk for a more pina-colada-tasting alcohol smoothie.
- You don’t need to use strawberries, you can substitute them for raspberries for example, or another berry of choice.
- For an aromatic infusion, blend 1-2 fresh leaves of mint.
Recipe Tips:
- Frozen Fruit Goes In First: Ice and the frozen berries should go in the blender first so that they are close to the blades.
- Start Blending at a Lower Speed: This allows for the blades to cut through the ice cubes and frozen berries first. After 30 seconds, increase the speed.
- Do Not Over-Blend: Blending for 2-3 minutes is more than enough. You want icy almost slushy-like consistency.
