So, what makes this smoothie a superfood colon cleansing smoothie?

Spinach – high in fiber and perfect for good digestion. Not to mention that it’s also quite high on protein.

Chia Seeds – perfect for digestion and relieving constipation. The chia seeds create bulk in the colon and help you pass stools easily.

Figs – dried figs contain loads of fiber which can help in a smooth bowel movement. These are also rich in vitamin B6 that can indirectly ease digestion.

Hemp Seeds – are high in protein, omega 3, omega 6, and linoleic acid. Hemp seeds are also a great source of vitamin E and minerals, such as phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, and zinc.

How To Make Superfood Colon Cleanse Smoothie:

The method is super simple, all the ingredients are added to a high-speed blender and blitzed for 3-4 minutes until completely smooth!
We used homemade chia seed milk, but there is no need to make it if you don’t have the time. Any dairy-free milk will work!

  • 1 small handful of spinach
  • 3 figs
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp of shelled hemp hearts
  • 1 cup/250ml of chia milk or other dairy-free milk

  • Serve and enjoyyyyyyyy!

Notes

Best consumed straight away, however, you could refrigerate and drink the next day. Just stir it all back in.
