Optional Recipe Customizations

Sweet Smoothie with fruits being poured from a blender to a glass cup

The smoothie is sweetened mostly from the fruit, making this smoothie quite healthy.

If you fancy a more indulgent smoothie, you can certainly customize it to be more of a dessert smoothie than simply a sweet fruity smoothie.

Here are some ways you can customize the smoothie:

  • Add a tablespoon of chocolate spread, like Nutella along with the listed ingredients in the recipe.
  • Add whipped cream when you serve the smoothie and crush some cookies on top.
  • Instead of almond milk for the base of the smoothie, use condensed milk, which will really sweeten the smoothie.
  • Another smoothie base you can use instead of almond milk is fruit-flavored milk. Banana milk or strawberry milk can both work wonderfully.
  • I used plain unsweetened yogurt the first time I made this sweet fruit smoothie. But I have also tested the smoothie with sweetened and flavored yogurt. It made the smoothie a lot sweeter!
