We made this berry protein smoothie without bananas, because not everyone likes bananas, let’s face it.
We used frozen berries in this smoothie, so the smoothie comes out pretty thick, so you don’t really need bananas.
This mixed berry protein smoothie can work for whatever your goal may be, bodybuilding, weight loss, or just a quick breakfast if you are on the go.
We made this smoothie vegan-friendly, as we want to make sure that vegans can enjoy protein smoothies as well. Not that they need the protein desperately, but we want to make sure that everyone can enjoy our recipes.
If you are not a vegan, you can still drink this smoothie, it tastes amazing.
It’s also worth noting that we didn’t use any nut butters such as peanut butter, which makes this smoothie totally nut-free too. Another very common ingredient you come across in protein smoothie recipes.
Do Berry Smoothies Help Lose Weight?
If your goal is to lose weight, then this smoothie can certainly help you achieve that.
The reason is that it’s not a high-calorie smoothie, but it will keep you full for hours due to the high protein content.
Any smoothies can help you lose weight, as long as you keep them relatively low calorie.
How To Make Low-Calorie Berry Protein Smoothie
You will need:
- Frozen Mixed Berries
- Vegan Protein Powder
- Oats
- Oat Milk
This smoothie comes out thick and so tasty. You can, of course, add more sweetness to it, like a touch of maple or date syrup.
To make this smoothie – add all the ingredients to a blender, and blitz!

Equipment
- 1 Blender We used Ninja
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup/75g frozen berries
- 2 scoops (46g) protein powder we used Orgain
- 1 tbsp oats we used gluten free
- 1 cup/250ml oat milk
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
- Blend everything until completely smooth.
- Serve & Enjoy!
