Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (unsweetened)
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (or nut butter)
- 1 scoop unsweetened protein powder
- 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder (optional)
Instructions
- To a blender, add the yogurt and chia seeds first, followed by the rest of the ingredients.
- Blend for 2-3 minutes, or until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the blended smoothie into a cup, and enjoy!

Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes
I have been making this smoothie for years now. I have had the chance to try multiple different variations.
This is why below I will leave some of my favorite variations of this smoothie that you can apply should you want to:
- Vegan Variation: For a vegan recipe, use vegan yogurt instead of dairy yogurt. I have tried coconut yogurt and it worked wonderfully.
- The Seeds: If you don’t have chia seeds, use oats or flaxseeds instead. Nut butter will also work great. Just make sure it’s unsweetened.
- The Berries: I used frozen strawberries because they helped thicken the smoothie. If you don’t have frozen berries, use fresh berries, but add 1/2 cup of ice to thicken the smoothie.
- No Protein Powder: The only issue with the taste of this smoothie is the protein powder taste, even though I used unflavored. To avoid that, use 1 cup of yogurt, and do not use protein powder.

The smoothie was compatible with 7 of my blenders.
When I tried making this smoothie using the BlendJet 4000mAh, it simply didn’t blend the smoothie as smoothly as the other blenders did.
For that reason, I suggest that you avoid it when making this smoothie.

Are Strawberries a Fat Burner?
Strawberries are known to boost the production of leptin. Leptin plays a very important role in weight loss. Leptin suppresses appetite, which can result in a reduction of calories. Reduction of calories leads to a calorie deficit.
Can I Add Sweetener to The Smoothie?
I do not recommend that you add a sweetener to this smoothie. Whilst you absolutely can, remember, this is a weight loss smoothie, you want to obtain it's weight loss benefits. Eliminating sugar is key.
When Do I Drink This Smoothie?
I have personally lost fat by drinking this smoothie for breakfast as a meal replacement, combined with a general reduction of calorie consumption for the day. The smoothie is filling enough to carry me through lunch. You can do the same, or test what works best for you.
