How Many Times a Week Should You Drink a Detox Smoothie?

Detox smoothies should be consumed 3-4 times a week. More than that is a bit unnecessary, although it wouldn’t cause any harm.

Typically, when people go on a smoothie detox, it’s often 3-day smoothie detox or 7-day smoothie detox.

The amount of detox smoothies you should be drinking a week very much depends on the length of detox you are doing.

Personally, we always go on a 3-day detox, typically, we drink detox smoothies 3 days in a row during the week (Monday to Wednesday). This seems to work for us.

What Makes This 3-Ingredient Detox Smoothie Good For Detoxing?

We used 3 simple ingredients to make this detox smoothie recipe to lose weight.

#1. Pineapple

Pineapple

Pineapple is great for detoxing your body and improving your digestion, thanks to its enzymes.

It also aids liver function. And as we all know, the liver is responsible for detoxing your body.

#2. Spinach

Spinach

Spinach does a fantastic job at cleansing your colon. Thanks to its high fiber content, of course.

But apart from aiding detoxification of your colon, it has numerous more health benefits.

Greens aren’t always the tastiest thing we like to have on our plate, but once you add them to your smoothies, you will never know they are there!

#3. Ice Cold Water

Ice Cold Water

Water does much more than just hydrate us. Without water, you can’t really flush out toxins.

Our urine is a way of flushing out toxins, and that’s done thanks to water.

The reason why we used iced water, is because water has 0 calories, but when you use ice cold water, your body burns extra calories to bring the temperature down.

This is also known as speeding up your metabolism, which is great for losing weight!
