Why I Love this Cantaloupe Smoothie
One of the main reasons why I love this smoothie is the distinct taste it offers, compared to other smoothies.
It’s a very gentle-flavored smoothie, meaning it’s not overpowering, it’s sweet and earthy.
All the other reasons include:
- The Tropical Taste: The combination of cantaloupe and mango delivers a naturally sweet, tropical taste that’s irresistibly refreshing.
- It’s Quick & Simple: With just four ingredients, this smoothie is incredibly easy and fast to prepare.
- Nutrient-Rich: Packed with vitamins A and C, it’s a delicious way to boost your immune system and skin health.
- It’s Hydrating: Cantaloupe and mango have high water content, making this smoothie a perfect hydrating treat.
- Creamy Texture: Vanilla almond milk adds a smooth, creamy consistency without the need for dairy.
- Versatile: This smoothie is great for breakfast, a snack, or a post-workout refreshment.
- Naturally Sweet: The teaspoon of honey enhances the smoothie’s sweetness naturally, complementing the fruit flavors beautifully.

And of course you also have to make my honeydew melon smoothie.
Smoothie Variations and Recipe Notes
You will need to buy a whole cantaloupe melon, but you won’t need all of it to make one smoothie.
This means you can experiment with different flavors and variations of making this smoothie.
This is exactly what I did!
Below are some tasty variations I have tried that you could give a goo too!
- More Filling: Add 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt for protein and probiotics. Do note that the yogurt will impact the flavor slightly.
- Healthy Fats: Throw a tablespoon of nut butter or seeds such as chia or flax, for healthy fats and other nutrients.
- Green Powder: A handful of spinach or kale can go a long way. Greens add tons of nutrients, without impacting the flavor of the smoothie.
- Make It Tropical: Swap the vanilla almond milk for coconut milk or water.
Recipe Equipment
As you can see in the video of the smoothie recipe above, I used a Nutribulllet 600.
I have not tested the smoothie recipe using other types of blenders.
However, from experience, the way the smoothie came out and was blending, pretty much any blender will do.
But, do let me know if you use another type of blender and if the recipe works with it!
How To Prepare Cantaloupe
If you have used a whole fresh cantaloupe before, you probably know how to prepare it.
If not, here is a quick guide on how to prepare it to make this smoothie:
- Step 1: Slice the cantaloupe in half.
- Step 2: Scoop out the seeds using a spoon
- Step 3: Slice the cantaloupe into quarters.
- Step 4: Using a knife, gently guide it by pressing under the skin. (see image above)
- Step 5: Once the skin is removed, dice the flesh.
- Step 6: It’s ready to use!
