Cucumber smoothies are super refreshing, and as for banana smoothies, they are ultra creamy and sweet, so we decided to combine them both.

And yes, they can absolutely be blended together.

Cucumbers are quite watery, so when you combine them with a fruit that contains more texture, such as a banana, the smoothie comes out a lot more harmonious and balanced.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • Frozen Banana
  • Cucumber
  • Chia Seeds
  • Ice
  • Lemon Juice
  • Coconut Milk From a Carton

To make this refreshing cucumber banana and milk smoothie –  add all of your ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth, for about 2-3 minutes.

Optional Substitutions / Add-Ins To Consider:

Both bananas and cucumbers are really versatile ingredients. They can work really well with many other ingredients.
So, here are  some optional substitutions:

  • You can make an apple and cucumber smoothie by adding some sliced apples to your blender.
  • Instead of chia seeds, you can substitute them for flaxseeds or oats.
  • You can easily use any milk of choice, including dairy milk if you are not vegan.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup/150g frozen bananas Pre-freeze the bananas beforehand.
  • 1/4 large English cucumber sliced
  • 200 ml low fat coconut milk unsweetened
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 lemon juiced

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the ingredients as described and add them all into a high-speed blender.
  • Blitz until smooth. For about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour into a glass full of ice and enjoy!
