Cucumber Banana Smoothie

There are some optional changes you can make to this smoothie.

Both bananas and cucumbers are really versatile ingredients. They can work really well with many other ingredients.

Here are  some optional customizations:

  • The Seeds: Instead of chia seeds, you can substitute them for flaxseeds or oats.
  • The Base: You can swap the coconut milk for other dairy-free alternatives, such as almond, oar, or even soy milk.
  • Richness: For a richer smoothie, consider adding a tablespoon of nut butter such as almond butter.
  • Greens: Incorporate a handful of baby spinach or kale for extra nutrients, without adding too many extra calories.
  • Protein Boost: Add a scoop of unsweetened and unflavored protein powder for a much higher protein content per serving.

Smoothie Notes:

Equipment:

Blender Type Suitability
Nutribullet 600
Vitamix Blender Propel 510
BlendJet 4000mAh x
Ninja Blender BL610
Oster 6640 Blender
Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender
AMZChef Blender 1800 W
Wamife Blender

The smoothie is pretty easy to blend. However, I found that the BlendJet 4000mAh wasn’t able to blend the smoothie smooth enough.

Which is why I have marked it as ‘x’.

It can work, but it doesn’t give this recipe justice since it needs to be silly smooth, which other blenders can achieve.

When To Drink This Smoothie For Weight Loss

If you are trying to lose weight, the best time to drink this smoothie is for breakfast.

It is a light breakfast, yet filling and nutritious enough as a meal replacement.

I have also tried drinking this smoothie in the afternoon as a snack. It helps me curb cravings for processed and unhealthy food.
