What’s really good about this smoothie, is that it is ready in, under 5 minutes, it’s so filling and can easily be customized based on what you have in hand and diet.
If you are allergic/don’t like nuts, you can use nut-free alternatives, such as sunflower seed butter, and nut-free dairy-free milk, maybe oat, or coconut.
We used a selection of flaxseeds, chia seeds, shelled hemp seeds – but again, you can use any types of seeds or nuts you have/like. This superfood smoothie recipe is very customizable.
This smoothie is loaded with healthy heart-healthy fats, fiber, plant protein, vitamins, and minerals. Just everything your body needs in 1 drink.

The method is super simple – all the ingredients are added to a blender and blitzed until smooth perfection.
Pour into a glass, and enjoyyyyyyyy.
As mentioned above, you can swab these ingredients for anything you like. If you are nut-free, swap the almond butter for sunflower seed butter.
And swap the almond milk nut-free milk, like oat or coconut.
The smoothie is best consumed straight away, otherwise, the chia seeds and flaxseed will start to gel everything.

Easy Superfood Smoothie Recipe
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 tbsp of chia seeds
- 1 tbsp of shelled hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp of almond butter
- 1 tsp of flaxseeds
- 1 cup/220ml almond milk
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blitz until smooth.
