Recipe Variations & Notes:

Green Lime Smoothie being pured intto a glass cup

There are many different variations of this smoothie you could try, should you want to.

I have tested several different variations myself, which I am going to recommend below:

  1. Extra Citrus: Include an orange or a grapefruit for an extra citrusy flavor.
  2. Use Berries: The mango can be substituted for berries of your choice. Blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries all work very well!
  3. Add a Protein Boost: Incorporate a scoop of your favorite protein powder, such as whey, pea, or hemp protein.
  4. Incorporate Healthy Fats: Add a tablespoon of flaxseed oil or a small avocado to your smoothie. These ingredients will not only add a creamy texture but also provide healthy fats, which are essential for brain health and can help keep you feeling full longer.
  5. Spice It Up: Sprinkle in some ginger for an added flavor kick and health benefits. You can use fresh ginger root, or powdered ginger.
