Is Mango a Gogo Healthy?

Are you watching what you put in your body more these days? Well, your question on is Jamba Juice Mango Go-Go is healthy is totally valid.

The simple answer is, yes and no. Let’s put it this way though, it’s much healthier than a sugar-loaded frappuccino, or a can of Coke.

However, Mango Go Go contains quite a bit of sugar, as the ingredients consist of:

Pear white grape mango orange passion juice blend, mangos pineapple sherbet unpackaged menu items are not guaranteed to be allergen-free *may be substituted for apple pear strawberry mango juice blend** in some stores **may contain passion fruit juice

The sherbet is what contains the most sugar. However, a medium-sized mango go go contains 390 calories, which isn’t a lot at all, compared to other drinks you can get.

The problem is, a medium-sized mango go go contains a whooping  86g of sugar!

So, all in all, it’s a pretty good choice, but watch for that sugar, perhaps opt for a small serving.

Is Homemade Mango A Go Go Smoothie Healthier?

Homemade is always best. No matter what. And to answer the question, YES, homemade Mango A Go Go Smoothie is SO much healthier than getting it from Jamba Juice.

It contains 3 ingredients only and uses whole real fruit only.

You still get a thick cooling and refreshing taste but without all the added sugars. It’s also much lower in calories.

A serving of homemade Mango A Go Go Smoothie contains:

Calories: 210
Sugar: 45.3g
Carbs: 49.5g

Note that the majority of the sugar is from the mango, and only 4.5g of it comes from the passionfruit juice.
