Recipe Variations And Smoothie Notes

You can adjust the recipe easily. Whether you want to make it more nutrient-dense or swap a few ingredients, I have options for you below:

  • Protein Boost: Add a scoop of protein powder for extra protein. I love using unsweetened protein powders in my smoothies.
  • Nut-Free: Swap the peanut butter for 1/3 avocado or sun butter, and the almond milk for oat or soy milk.
  • No Oats: Swap the oats for chia or flaxseeds.
  • The Apple: I recommend that you use a sweet red apple, but you can also try using other apple varieties.

Equipment:

Blender Type Suitability

BlendJet 4000mAh x
Ninja Blender BL610
Oster 6640 Blender
Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender

Avoid using low-speed blending when making this smoothie.

They don’t blend the frozen banana slices or apple very well.

A budget blender that does a great job is the Nutribullet 600.
