Only 3-4 ingredients are needed for this refreshing tropical smoothie recipe. If using low-fat coconut milk, this smoothie can be quite low-calorie, and yet so filling!

I love coconut, tropical fruits, and all things creamy and refreshing!
The best thing about this pina colada smoothie is that it’s perfect for a dinner party, or just for a refreshing drink without the rum.
it’s nutritious, filling, and fairly low on calories.

What are the health benefits of pineapple?

Pineapple has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. This helps when you have an infection, like sinusitis, or an injury, like a sprain or burn. It also offsets the joint pain of osteoarthritis. The vitamin C in pineapple juice also keeps inflammation levels low.

Normally, a pina colada would be made using pineapple juice, however, in this recipe we have used fresh whole pineapple chunks.
This pina colada recipe is naturally dairy-free and vegan!

How To Make A Pina Colada Smoothie:

You will need:

1. Fresh Pineapple
2. Light Coconut Milk From a Can
3. White Rum (optional)
4. Ice

The whole pineapple is peeled, cored, and diced.
All the ingredients are added to a high-speed blender and blitzed until smooth. Serve over ice and enjoyyyy!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/3 cups/200g fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup/220ml of low fat coconut milk from a can
  • 1 shot of white rum optional
  • 2-3 cubes of ice

Instructions
 

  • If usin a whole pineapple - cut the skin, core it and dice it.
  • All the ingredients are added to a high-speed blender except the ice and blitzed until smooth.
  • Serve over the ice and enjoy.
