The antioxidants that grapefruit contains are naringin and naringenin.

You will need:

  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Green Tea
  • Almond Butter
  • Grapefruit
  • Spinach
  • Lime Juice

To make this fatty liver detox smoothie, once the ingredients have been prepared, add all of your ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth, for about 3-4 minutes.

Serve and drink up!

Substitution Recommendations

There are substitutions you can make, that can still provide you with the same liver benefits. Here they are:

  • Instead of blueberries, use cranberries. Research shows that they can benefit liver detox too.
  • Instead of lime juice, use lemon juice.
  • Almond butter can be substituted for any other nut butter, just make sure it’s unsweetened and made using 100% nuts.
  • You can substitute spinach for kale or other cruciferous vegetables.

Revitalize your liver with my Liver Detox Smoothie! This cleansing drink combines powerful detoxifying ingredients to support liver health and flush out toxins.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup brewed green tea and cooled (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 grapefruit (peeled)
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (unsweetened)
  • 1 handful of spinach (washed)
  • 1/2 lime (juiced)

Instructions

  1. Brew the green tea in 1 cup of water, and let it cool completely.
  2. Remove the seeds and the white skin from the grapefruit. The more white skin you can remove, the less bitter your smoothie will be.
  3. Add all your ingredients into a high-speed blender.
  4. Blitz until smooth. For about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
