  4. High in Fiber: Thanks to ingredients like avocado and banana, this smoothie is high in fiber, which aids in digestion and helps maintain a feeling of fullness.

Mint Smoothie Bowl Variations & Recipe Notes:

Some variations of this recipe that you could try are listed below, but you can also experiment on your own:

  • Vegan Friendly: Make sure you use vegan-friendly chocolate chips to ensure this smoothie bowl  is vegan-friendly.
  • Protein Boost: Incorporate a scoop of vanilla protein powder to increase the protein content.
  • Tropical Touch: Swap almond milk for coconut milk to enhance the tropical flavor.
  • Richer: Add a tablespoon of almond butter for a richer more filling smoothie bowl.
  • Green Power: For extra antioxidants and green goodness, fold in a teaspoon of matcha green tea powder.

Top Smoothie Bowl-Making Tips:

  1. Power: Using a high-speed blender or a food processor is crucial if you want to achieve a thick smoothie. Lower-speed blenders require more liquid, which results in a drinkable smoothie, not spoonable.
  2. Use Frozen Fruit: Using frozen fruit is crucial to make this smoothie bowl. If you don’t have frozen fruit, the smoothie bowl recipe won’t work.
  3. Be Careful With The Peppermint Extract: A drop or 2 is more than enough. Be careful with how much you put, otherwise, the mint flavor can overpower the smoothie.
  4. Serve Immediately: It’s best to eat the smoothie bowl as soon as it’s blended and served.
  5. If Using a Food Processor: It’s crucial that you stop a few times and scrape off the sides for an even blend.
  6. Choose Your Toppings: Get creative with toppings to add texture and flavor.
  7. Chill Your Bowl: Place your serving bowl in the freezer for a few minutes before adding your smoothie mixture. This helps keep everything cool and thick, especially on warm days.

  • Hemp Heart Seeds

Recipe Equipment I Have Tested:

As of right now, I have only ever tested this smoothie bowl recipe using:

  1. Vitamix Explorian Blender
  2. Amzchef Blender
  3. Nutribullet 900 Series

What I will note though, is that this smoothie bowl recipe and many others often require a powerful blender.

In order to achieve a thick smoothie, using a high-speed blender is crucial.
