I have been testing out some variations of this smoothie recently, which I want to share with you.

Do note that these variations are optional. 

  • No Banana: If you don’t like bananas, use pineapple or avocado instead.
  • No Oats: If you struggle to digest oats or don’t like them, you can substitute them for seeds, such as chia seeds.
  • The Smoothie Base: Use any dairy-free milk you like, it doesn’t have to be almond milk. Just make sure it’s unsweetened.
  • Protein Boost: Using 1/2 cup of yogurt, or a scoop of protein powder can increase the protein content significantly. 
  • Aromatics: Add a couple of leaves of fresh mint for an aromatic twist.
  • Nutty Goodness: Add a tablespoon of unsweetened nut butter for a richer and more filling smoothie. Do note that this add-in will increase the calories by roughly 100.
