Smoothie Variations And Recipe Notes
You tweak the recipe by substituting or adding extra ingredients and still end up with a delicious smoothie!
Below are my recommendations, but feel free to experiment too!
- No Banana: Swap the banana for mango or berries of choice. 1/2 cup is plenty.
- No Protein Powder: If you are avoiding protein powders, use 1/2 cup of silken tofu. If you are not vegan, use 1/2 cup Greek yogurt.
- The Base: Swap the coconut water for coconut milk, almond milk, or oat milk.
- Boost With Nut Butter: Add a tablespoon of nut butter for a creamier smoothie with a nutty taste!

I suggest that you avoid making this smoothie using the two blenders and models marked with ‘x’ on my list above.
I tried the smoothie recipe using all of the blenders, and the two marked in ‘x’ simply weren’t able to blend the smoothie to the desired consistency.
