Ingredient Swaps, Variations & Smoothie Notes

Below I will leave some tasty variations of this smoothie which I have loved, and I think  you will too:

  • The Base: Use dairy-free milk such as almond instead of coconut water.
  • The Ginger: If you don’t have fresh ginger root, use 1/4 tsp powdered ginger
  • No Cucumber: If you don’t like cucumber use fresh mango or berries instead. Do note that the flavor of the smoothie will be impacted.
  • The Seeds: Use flaxseeds instead of chia seeds, or hemp hearts.
  • Boost The Protein: Add 20-25g of protein to this smoothie by adding a scoop of unsweetened and unflavored protein powder. Alternatively, add 1/2 cup of cottage cheese or yogurt.
